Cyber Center

The Ukiah library has five Macintosh computers available to the public. This thanks to generous donations from Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen, Apple Computer Inc., and Friends of the Ukiah Valley Library. There are two printers and a color scanner as well. Th ese computers all carry basic software for word processing as well as drawing, spreadsheet, and database software. They all have network connections to the Redwood Free-Net which provides Internet email for its sub scribers. Some of the computers have specialized programs such as typing-tutors and desktop publishing programs. Between the color scanner, the image processing program Photoshop, and the page layout program PageMaker, there is a complete desktop publishi ng station.

These computers are open to the public at no charge. What a deal!
